LOOM CITY CYCLES
Loom City Cycles is a new bike shop located in my hometown of Vernon, CT. They were replacing a longstanding shop that decided to close, giving us the challenge of creating an engaging logo that would pull in the existing customers and emphasize the history of Vernon's textile mills and the rail-to-trail system that had been built years ago.
Project Overview
My role: Visual Designer
Date: 2025
Scope: Brand Identity
Deliverables: Primary and alternative logos, Social Content, Merchandise
Tools Used: Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, ChatGPT
Social media flyer for grand opening
Mockup of my recommended building sign concept
In addition to the building signage, merch, and social content, we wanted the bike shop to have a fun atmosphere that celebrated the town's history and supported local art. We commissioned a local artist to hand-paint the logo and other murals onto the store interior. This provided a more welcoming and fun experience for customers.
Testimonial
"I contacted Josh to create a logo for my bike shop. I had what I thought were a couple of good ideas, but Josh asked great questions and was able to come up with not only what I was looking for, but several great designs of his own. Josh was very clear on timeframes and met deadlines that were fairly crunched based on me moving my time frame up. Revisions came quick with requests for feedback as well as additional suggestions. I get compliments on my logos by Josh Perkins every day. I would highly recommend his design services."
